Capitaland has revealed to the press
that they will be rolling an iconic landmark development, The
Interlace, featuring 1,040 apartments on a 99-year leasehold land
of 871,884
square feet (8 hectare), located on
the site which used to house 608 units at Gillman Heights next month.
The Interlace will have units that range in
size between 807 sq ft for two bedroom apartments and 4,306 sq ft for
“super penthouses”.
Breaking away from conventional condo design of isolated
vertical towers, The interlace introduces vertical stacking in a
hexagonal orientation, giving each home views all
around.
The interlace, resembling a ‘vertical village’
with cascading sky
gardens and private and public roof terraces, is designed
by
world-renowned architect Ole Scheeren who is from the firm Office for
Metropolitan Architecture, whose other partners include the famous Rem
Koolhaas.

Sales taper off at
many projects as cooling measures start to seep in -

City Developments Ltd (CDL) sold a whopping 316 units last week at its
Hundred Trees condo in the West Coast, a quarter of them on interest
absorption scheme (IAS). Demand for most other projects, however,
seemed to falter.

Buying interest in
new homes still high –

HOME buyers are still biting, if the preview sales at Hundred Trees
condo in the West Coast area are anything to go by.
City Developments (CDL) said it had sold 200 of the 280 units released
so far as at 6pm yesterday. Buyers included a significant number of HDB
upgraders, sources said.

Another 50 Trevista
units snapped up – 8th Sep 2009
NTUC Choice Homes sold another 50 units at its ToaPayoh condo Trevista
over the weekend, taking the total number of units soldthere to 460.
The remaining units at the 590-unit condo are mainly larger ones –
continuing a trend where buyers snap up smaller homes.

NTUC Choice Homes Co-operative is pricing the initial phase of its
Trevista condo at Toa Payoh, which previews today, at an average price
of $898 per square foot. This is about 20 per cent lower than Far East
Organization’s Centro Residences next to Ang Mo Kio Hub, priced at
$1,150 psf on average and released last month.
